Proof!

See... I told you she can smile! She smiles when you talk to her now. It's great to get some feedback. I never knew a little baby could make you feel so stupid. For so
long I would talk baby talk and make the funny faces to her and she would just stare at me with a scowl as if to say, "what is this wierdy lady talking about". But now whether it be sympathy smiles or not she thinks I'm pretty funny.

The cousins

My little nieces were sooo excited to finally get to meet their new little cousins and since it was UEA weekend they came down from Lehi and spent a few days.

The latest pictures...

Here are some of the more recent pictures. Annie smiles now and it's not ALWAYS just gas; although I don't have any pictures to prove it yet.

Aunt Mary and Annie sound asleep!

Hanging out with Daddy after work.

Apparently Annie doesn't want to be a model when she grows up!!!

Did someone give her some bitter beer while I wasn't looking?

Hanging out with her cousin Sophie

K.C. (Ben's brother), Mary, and Sophie came down to visit from Jackson Hole. We were all having a great time until Annie began to cry. As soon as Annie would cry, so would Sophie. It would make Sophie really anxious and she would try and put her Binky in Annie's mouth to calm her down. Also, whenever Sophie would see me without Annie, she would get a confused look on her face and put out her arms out as if she was asking where Annie was. It was so fun to have the cousins together. I'm sure they'll have even more fun when Annie is a little more mobile.

One month old today!!!

First of all, thank you to everyone who gave me advice! It helped the most just to know I wasn't the only one that had gone through such torture. And second... I made it one whole month today and things are much better!

We haven't been doing too much but hanging out with family and trying to get Annie to crack a smile instead of just scowling all the time.

Here are the latest pictures....

Help!

We are on day 12 now; which means, 12 days of sleepless nights, 12 days of sore nipples (I know, T.M.I.), 12 days of poopy diapers just as fast as I can change em', and of course 12 days of kissing a cute little baby.

I don't feel like I was properly warned. This Mom stuff is difficult! The breastfeeding has been the most difficult thing for me. She has a very hard time latching on. Which stresses me out which makes her even more upset. If anyone has some tips for me, please let me know. The lactation nurse at the hospital said not to give her a binky or bottle for at least two weeks, but longer if possible. What have you Mothers done with your babies?

She's Here!!!

Annie was born on August 19th at 4:28 am. She weighed 7lbs 11 ounces and was 21 inches long. We are so happy to have her here. These are a few pictures that we already had; they'll be more to come.
